Mission New Mexico partners with non-profit organizations to offer a unique platform that uses the power of radio to fuel interest and involvement in events and outreach efforts.

Community Events

The Star 88 and KNKT audiences love to get involved, and as local businesses put their support behind Mission New Mexico, it's a powerful collaboration! If you are part of a business or non-profit and want to get connected, we invite you to contact Steve Reimann at steve@calvaryabq.org. See below for more information about our Mission New Mexico partnerships.

Albuquerque Christian Children's Home

Albuquerque Christian Children's Home (ACCH), a non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing the very best physical, psychological, and spiritual care for school-aged children who are neglected, abused, or in need of supervision. Our long-term residential care is provided through a family setting centered around Christian love, example, and teaching. We strive to instill individual worth in each child while preparing them for responsible adulthood. Where possible, we work to reunite each child with his/her family.

We provide a loving Chrisitan home for children who are homeless, hurting, or at-risk through no fault of their own. We currently have room for two more children between the ages of 6 and 16. If you know of a child who needs our help, please call Sharon Roberson, Director of Campus Life at 505-898-5520.

Current Needs:

  • Although we have lots of love to give, care also takes dollars. You can help provide a safe haven for these children by making a tax deductible donation to ACCH.

  • We are in need of donations for our food pantry. We rely solely on donations to stock our food pantry and freezer. We are also in need of paper products of all kinds. It seems like we can never get enough toilet paper, paper towels, Lysol wipes etc. Would you like to donate, or organize a food drive?

  • To help with these needs or learn more contact Sharon Roberson.

    Aspen Project
The Aspen Project's mission is to call God’s people to care for the fatherless through Adoption/Foster Care Challenges. Joining with organizations like state-run New Mexico’s CYFD (Children, Youth and Families Department) and local Adoption agencies we hope to partner with the churches of New Mexico to provide guidance to God’s people in foster care and adoption.

    Current Needs:
There are over 2,000 orphaned children in New Mexico, and 858 are ready for adoption now. We need Christian parents that will provide loving homes for these children through foster care, respite care and adoption.
We also need social workers and attorneys willing to donate time to defer some of the adoption costs.
Clothing and equipment donations are needed, including gently used clothing of all sizes from preemie-teens, car seats, strollers, bikes, etc.

    Prayer Requests:
For the children still waiting for a family
For the families who have already committed to foster and adopt.
For those considering adoption; that they would have the courage and resources to do so.
That those serving do not grow weary; that their strength and focus will remain in the will of the Father.
For those who are not adopted; that they will still hear and answer the call of Christ.

For more information call Clay at 410-4460.

    Joy Junction

Joy Junction is a place of refuge to those who have been forced into the streets. As many as 350 women, children and families count on us each day for food, shelter, clothing, transportation, and an array of other services. While Joy Junction is the largest homeless shelter in New Mexico, Joy Junction is much more than a homeless shelter. We are a Gospel Rescue Mission that is committed to restoring precious lives which have been forgotten and abandoned by society.

    Current Needs:
Donations of food, and items for the Lifeline of Hope are urgent needs at Joy Junction. These items will help homeless men and women survive the dangerous winter night time temperatures: blankets, sleeping bags, stocking caps, warm socks, winter coats, winter gloves, lip balm, thermal underwear, scarves, sweaters/sweatshirts, men's shoes, backpacks, long sleeved shirts, blouses, pants, dresses, handkerchiefs and underwear for men, women and children. We also need travel sized personal hygiene items and Bibles, especially Tyndale House Life Recovery Bibles.

    Youth Groups and Bible Clubs

Fellowship with other believers is not only important, it is biblical (Hebrews 10:25). There are a number of youth groups and Bible clubs meeting in the Albuquerque area. Visit our Youth Group and Bible Clubs map where you'll find location information, contacts, and meetings times of the many local gatherings.
